Support Team

At the heart of our work is the fantastic Volunteer Support Team. Our volunteers support and encourage actors to work to the best of their abilities, while participating fully in workshops and rehearsals (including warm up exercises, movement and improvisations).

There are sometimes opportunities for volunteers to participate in performances and provide extra support backstage. Our volunteers do not provide personal care. Experience of working with people who have a learning disability would be an advantage but is by no means essential.

We welcome interest from potential new volunteers all year round but normally recruit and induct new volunteers once or twice a year. The recruitment process involves an informal interview and taking part in a workshop or rehearsal. If you would like to find out more about volunteering, please fill in the below form stating that you are interested in joining the support team in the message box.

All volunteers are required to have PVG membership for doing regulated work with protected adults. We support our volunteers to apply for membership if they do not already have it, or for a scheme record update if they do. This is completely free.
