Originally from the West Coast of Ireland, Shea Martin is an Edinburgh-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and composer. They have an eclectic background spanning multiple genres including feminist punk and traditional Scottish and Irish music.
Shea tutors with the Scots’ Music Group and is the director of The Tunes Café Collective, an organisation which encourages folk to learn traditional music in a relaxed, inclusive environment. They have collaborated with various organisations including Tinderbox Orchestra, Three Hares Woodland and Artlink.
Shea writes and performs in contemporary folk duo Housekind with percussionist Cal Younger.
