Please Right Back is the wonderfully whimsical journey of a mixed-race family navigating life and the unexpected curve balls thrown in their direction, as they overcome difficulties in life, in education and in everyday society.

The pressures of life are beautifully represented from the perspective of both the parents and the children.

The stage consists of three screens showing wonderfully designed 2D animations and environments, plunging the audience into this world of fantastical storytelling and big imagination.

As the children and their mother deal with the unexpected storm of their father’s disappearance, only the mother knows the truth: that her beloved husband is in jail.

To protect their much-loved children from this harsh and cruel reality, the father and his children frequently write letters to one another, which always end with the words: “Please write back”. The father fires up his children’s imaginations from his prison cell with his varied and unexpected adventures involving his quest to track down a man who stole an important briefcase.

Find the briefcase.. Give it to Jones… Be back in time for tea… Easy peasy!

This show is, in my opinion, one of the most visually stunning shows I’ve seen, and it will stay with me for a very long time.

It is a show that you could watch again and again and never grow tired of.

It is truly visual perfection – a show which must be seen to be believed in all its storytelling glory!
