Join Lung Ha Theatre’s Company’s Volunteer Support Team

Deadline for Applications: Thursday 17th November

Our volunteers are at the heart of our work. They support and encourage the actors to work to the best of their abilities, while participating fully in workshops and rehearsals.

Volunteers supporting Castle Lennox will need to be able attend at least three rehearsals per month. In January, rehearsals will take place on Tuesday evenings, 6 – 9pm. In February and March, rehearsals will take place on Monday daytime (until mid February), Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday daytime, Thursday daytime, Friday daytime, and Saturday daytime (from mid February only). There may be opportunities to provide support onstage or backstage during Castle Lennox performances.

Personal care is not part of the Volunteer Support Team Member role.

New Volunteer Support Team Members should have:

– An interest in theatre or performance

– Experience of working as part of a team (this does not have to be from an employment or volunteering position)

– Good verbal communication skills

– Enthusiasm, patience and flexibility

– An open mind and willingness to learn and try out new things

– The ability and commitment to keep in touch by email

Experience of working with people who have a learning disability would be an advantage but is not essential.

If you would like to apply for the volunteer role, or have any questions, please contact us by Thursday 17th November  – info@lungha.com

All volunteers are required to have PVG membership for doing regulated work with protected adults. We support our volunteers to apply for membership if they don’t already have it, or for a scheme record update if they do. This is completely free.
